'This book has been a standard text and has provided student teachers, therapists, parents and many others with an overview of child development from an anthroposophical perspective. About the Author
Bernard Lievegoed was a distinguished physician, educator, and industrial psychologist. He founded the NPI, which pioneered new approaches to business management. For his book Man on the Threshold, Professor Lievegoed was awarded the Golden Quill literary award of the Netherlands Publishers' Association. He died in 1992.

A must for Waldorf teachers and others

I have not received my new copy of this very useful book yet but I owned an older edition that I can not find so I'm glad to see it is updated and still in print.
As a Waldorf teacher I used this book often and as a retired Waldorf teacher I still want it to refer to when questions come up about what is going on for my grandchildren and when a parent has a question about their child. I am currently teaching parenting classes at my former school with an emphasis on Nonviolent/Compassionate Communication and I want to bring in the developmental stages that need to be paid attention to when looking at communication with children.
I feel this book is a must read for a Waldorf teacher or parent and for anyone interested in the developmental stages of childhood, especially from an Anthroposophical perspective.
