Good Starting Point for LA Pro Practice Research

Fast delivery, arrived in good condition. Some of the content is outdated (i.e. LARE sections), but the basic info is good. Easy to read, good jumping off point for delving more deeply in the professional practice aspects of Landscape Architecture.

This book is seriously outdated and overpriced

I was forced to buy this book for my professional practice class in a university landscape architecture program about six years ago. At the time I thought I was buying a textbook which would be part of my permanent library. While taking the course I was shocked at how outdated the material was (like having copies of ancient mimeographed forms with "sample only" stamped across them). While there was some decent industry content included, I tossed this book aside and never opened it again. When studying for the licensure exams I turned to "Law and Practice for Architects" by Greenstreet, et al for really well written professional practice information. The only good thing I can say about this book was that it has held its value for resale. If you are in school, spend your money on a copy of "Time Saver Standards for Landscape Architects" instead... now that is a book that is a must have for anyone in this industry.

It's ok, he gives a list of definitions in the beginning of the book, but doesn't define them very clearly. Other than that it's pretty well laid out.
