About the Author
"Ronald J. Ebert" is Emeritus Professor at the University of Missouri-Columbia where he lectures in the Management Department and serves as advisor to students and student organizations. Dr. Ebert draws upon more than 30 years of teaching experience at such schools as Sinclair College, University of Washington, University of Missouri, Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu (Romania), and Consortium International University (Italy). His consulting alliances include such firms as Mobay Corporation, j Kraft Foods, Oscar Mayer, Atlas Powder, and John Deere. He has designed and conducted management development programs for such diverse clients as the American Public Power Association, the United States Savings and Loan League, and the Central Missouri Manufacturing Training Consortium.

His experience as a practitioner has fostered an advocacy for integrating concepts f with best business practices in business education. The five business books he has written include translations in Spanish, Chinese, Malaysian, and Romanian languages. Dr. Ebert has served as the editor of the "Journal of Operations Management." He is a past-president and fellow of the Decision Sciences Institute. He has served as consultant and external evaluator for "Quantitative Reasoning for Business Studies" an introduction-to-business project sponsored by the National Science Foundation.

"Ricky W. Griffin" is Distinguished Professor of Management and holds the Blocker Chair in Business in the Mays School of Business at Texas A&M University. He also currently serves as executive associate dean. He previously served as Head of the Department of Management and as director of the Center for Human Resource Management atTexas A&M. His research interests include workplace aggression and violence, executive skills and decision making, and workplace culture. Dr. Griffin's research has been published in such journals as "Academy of Management Review, Academy of Management Journal, Administrative Science Quarterly," and "Journal of Management." He has also served as editor of "Journal of Management." Dr. Griffin has consulted with such organizations as Texas Instruments, Tenneco, Amoco, Compaq Computer, and Continental Airlines.

Dr. Griffin has served the Academy of Management as chair of the organizational behavior division. He has also served as president of the southwest division of the Academy of Management and on the Board of Directors of the Southern Management Association. He is a fellow of both the Academy of Management and the Southern Management Association. He is also the author of several successful textbooks, each of which is a market leader. In addition, they are widely used in dozens of countries and have been translated into numerous foreign languages, including Spanish, Polish, Malaysian, and Russian.

Ricky W. Griffin serves as Distinguished Professor of Management and Blocker Chair in Business at Texas A&M. He received his Ph.D. in organizational behavior from the University of Houston. He served as editor of the Journal of Management and as an officer in the Southwest Regional Division of the Academy of Management, the Southern Management Association, and the Research Methods Division and the Organizational Behavior Division of the Academy of Management. Dr. Griffin spent three years on the faculty at the University of Missouri (Columbia) before moving to Texas A&M University in 1981. His research interests include workplace violence, employee health and well-being in the workplace, and workplace culture. A well-respected author recognized for his organizational behavior and management research, Dr. Griffin has written many successful textbooks, including: Management, Organizational Behavior, HR, Management Skills, Introduction to Business, and International Business.

An action packed wrap up to this trilogy!

I want to thank HarperTeen for supplying me with an early copy of this book to read and give an honest review. Receiving this book for free has in no way altered my opinion or review.

If you haven't read the first or second book in this series, I suggest you stop here. I cannot say there won't be spoilers for those book. Plus, you really can't read and understand this one without the background of the first and second books!

This book picks up where Tremor left off. Faith and Dylan have fought off Clara and Wade and are now trying to figure out a plan to defeat them and shut down Hotspur Chance from destroying the States.

This book has a bit more romance between Faith and Dylan than the last one. It's not suffused with it, but there are kisses here and there and you really get the sense of how in love these two have grown.

It also has more death. Death of characters you've grown to adore and love. And we meet a few new characters along the way, as well. Ones who become important to the entire movement Dylan and Faith have created.

I can't get into the plot too much without spoiling things, but let's just say Dylan and Faith fight tooth and nail along with Hawk and Clooger to stop Hostpur from killing millions of innocent people. It's not done without injury to any of them, or separation between them.

Carman does a nice job of keeping this book filled with just as much action as the last. Dylan and Faith really do become super heroes set on making things right. I love their faith in not only each other, but those they have come to trust. His scene are intense. Filled with enough juice to really keep you turning the pages and wanting more.

In the end, I was completely satisfied with how he chose to wrap things up. Carman ups the stakes in this book, taking Faith and Dylan on a wild hunt to right those that have been wronged and to ensure society has it's best chance at survival. HIs characters are strong and well thought out.

Fans of sci-fi and dystopian alike will enjoying the thrilling ride Carman has created with the Pulse trilogy. A emotionally charge roller coaster ride of super awesomeness.

Quake is the final installation of the Pulse series. So if you’re looking for a series to read, then you should read the Pulse series! With action-packed moments and good twists of story, this is a series you do not want to miss. Seriously, Patrick surely knows how to keep his readers entertained.

From the moment I picked up Pulse, I was in for a surprise. I was not expecting to enjoy this book, the first book, as much as I did. The book contains a good taste of romance that is well timed and it leaves you wanting more. Not only this but there is a mystery and well, if you like mystery like myself, then this series will keep you turning to pages.

Quake picks right where Tremor ends. You must read the books in order. In Pulse, we come to learn Gretchen is the leader of the drifters and mother of Dylan. In Tremor, we learn her past and discover Dylan’s father identity. To top this, we learn about second-pulses. In Quake, readers will learn more of the four second-pulses, what they are capable of doing. More like what else they are capable. Just when we think we know where the story is heading, Patrick throws us new information and leaves us unbalance. Yet, wraps everything up nicely.

After finishing Quake… Yeah, I’m still in wonder at the way things ended. Patrick surely knows how to create an action-packed plot. Seriously, he's brilliant. Even though its bittersweet to have this series end, I am happy how things ended. I am looking forward to read more of his work.

Lovers of sci-fi should give Pulse series a try!

There was almost nothing memorable about this trilogy. It fits the typical, used up plot line that is YA Dystopian currently. Girl has special powers, girl has something negative with parents, girl fights government, girl gets love interest, meaningless characters suffer meaningless deaths, Big Bad Guy kills everyone, someone somehow stops him, and then they live happily ever after (assuming that the 2 teenage couples composed of emotionally distressed people last forever.)
